A stainless steel tee is a T-shaped pipe fitting with two outlets, commonly used in piping systems and steel pipe elbows. It functions the same as olets that means it is used to take a branch connection for linear pipeline. As the name TEE represents, the shape is T-shaped with two outlets, at 90 degree to the connection to the main line. Tees can connect pipes of different diameters, change the direction of a pipe run, or both. Available in various materials, sizes and finishes, they may also be used to transport two-fluid mixtures.
These tees are made of 304/316 stainless steel, which has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, heat resistance and high strength, and is suitable for use in various harsh environments.
They can also be produced according to customer drawings in sizes including 2"-120" diameter, different structural shapes, and threaded ports to accommodate piping systems in different environments.
Socket welding (SW) is used for welding pipes and fittings including reducers, tees and elbows. Socket weld pipe fittings are used to permanently join pipes that are inserted into a recess in the fitting, flange or valve. Once correctly inserted, fillet type sealing welds are applied to join the pipe to the fitting. These tees are usually forged and used up to 2″ run size on services for socket welded connections, the standard of socket weld steel tees is ASME B16.11.
The stainless threaded tees are used to connect 3 pipes which are meeting at a point. It can also be used to combine the flow from two inlets to one outlet or for mixing of liquids. The ends are thread type, other dimensions, rating and materials are same as socket welded tees.
The butt weld tee (equal tee and reducing tee) has a 90-degree branch and a straight line pipe that will provide a connection to install another device for the pipeline systems, including the equal tee and reducing tee. Applicable Pressure temperature rating and material standards are same as those for other butt welding pipe fittings. Butt welding tees are usually used for size 1/2″ to 48″.
